SRC turns 25, looks to future

Staging Rentals & Construction (SRC) is celebrating its 25th year as a supplier of event equipment and construction to the events industry, and has seized the opportunity to refocus its future plans.

“For more than 25 years we’ve been at the forefront of the many changes that have occurred in the events industry; to do this, we’ve had to continually evolve and adapt to the environment around us and stay ahead of our competitors in terms of services provided,” managing director David Comer said.

“I believe our willingness and ability to stretch our capabilities, when our clients have needed it, has been the true key to our success. We’re always up for a challenge and have the know-how and the fire-power to deliver.”

Founder Meri Took spoke of his pride in the company’s legacy, but was even more excited to look to the future.

“The team don’t spend much time focusing on what has been; they spend a lot of effort working out how they can do things better, what new products they can offer and how they can constantly make customers’ events more memorable,” he said.

Just recently, off the back of their successful build of Nefertiti’s head for Aida, SRC has been appointed as the set builders of the exciting 2016 season of Handa Opera on Sydney Harbour, which represents another major construction project.
