The $32,000 secret suite
Feeling a lavish spontaneous escape? You’re in luck.
HotelTonight has launched The Spontaneity Suite, giving travel lovers the chance to stay at a pop up hotel in a secret location for a much lower price than what the room is worth.
The lavish travelling hotel room is popping up in a secret hilltop Yarra Valley location, and in the ultimate game of lottery, travellers will be able to snap up a one night stay, valued at $32,000, via the app when the price listed drops to a bargain $99 per night for five nights – only between August 27 and August 31.
Made out of two 20 foot shipping containers, the suite is fully equipped with numerous mod cons and boasts a rooftop Jacuzzi and terrace, cocktail station, smart in-room technology including Apple TV and keyless entry, and a large floor to ceiling glass frontage so guests can take advantage of the spectacular vineyard views.
The Spontaneity Suite is fully serviced by Ovolo Hotels, the group behind 1888 and Blue Hotel in Sydney, and Laneways Hotel in Melbourne, with interiors by leading design team Coco Republic, and will be popping up at epic locations around Australia this year. It is available to book only via the HotelTonight app, available on both iOS and Android devices.
HotelTonight’s regional director for Asia Pacific, Stefan Cordiner, said the brand came up with the idea of creating a roaming boutique-style gem to satisfy Australians’ sense of adventure in their own backyard.
“The aim was to offer an intrepid yet comfortable experience to create the perfect night of escapism,” Cordiner said.
“We’re on a quest to make travelling more fun so thought it was fitting to deliver this unique luxury accommodation – worthy of a trip before the suite disappears and moves on to a new home.”
The suite also includes return limousine transfers from Melbourne, all-inclusive meals and minibar, and a wine-tasting tour at the TarraWarra Estate.
The stay also includes the services of a personal mobile concierge called Aces, a new HotelTonight in-app chat feature that connects guests with the app’s team of insiders to help with any request a traveller might have during their stay.
This could include anything from sightseeing recommendations and restaurant reservations to communication with the hotel to deliver room service or extra pillows.
The Ovolo Group’s chief operating officer Dirk Dalichau said it is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the creative traveller.
“Ovolo at its core thrives on innovation, creativity and breaking boundaries. This is what we are aiming to provide lucky guests of HotelTonight’s luxury suite,” he said.
For those that miss out on the $99 stay, a bonus night in The Spontaneity Suite will be available on September 1 when the price will drop by $1000 from $32000 every ten minutes until it has gone.
All the money raised from the final night, and the $99 spontaneous stays will be donated to Australia’s leading food rescue charity OzHarvest, which takes quality excess food from commercial outlets and delivers it direct and free of charge to over 600 charities.
The Spontaneity Suite will soon be heading to a secret Sydney location before it moves on to other spectacular sights around Australia. Follow HotelTonight.anz on Facebook and Instagram to follow its journey.
